US plan for detention without trial for potential “state interlopers” in the 1950s. It annoys me how people still don’t think something like this could happen. The state, democratic or not, will always obstinately fight for its persistence, even if the forces of change manifest themselves as the opinions of those who facilitate the state’s existence.
